The shoe horn was hand carved with a design of the sun rising over the ocean and the phrase Carpe Diem engraved on the front.

"Carpe Diem", Latin for "Seize the Day", represents the concept that one should live in and enjoy the present to the best of their abilities.

The shoe horn is made from solid brass.
